SUNDAY REASONINGS:
10:30 am till Noon
 | Sunday,
February 5 at 10:30 am: More
or Less |
Reasoning
by Sherry
Life
is all about choices. What are you choosing: More or Less? We will be
looking at the principles from Wisdom teachers down through the Ages.
Our prosperity depends on the More or Less principle. Energy has
polarities. More or Less: which pole is sending the strongest
frequencies? Carol
Johnson is
our guest musician.
Following the reasoning will be our Annual Business Meeting (around 20
minutes or so. Members will vote to approve the financial report),
and then an International Potluck (see Events below).
 | Sunday,
February 12 at 10:30 am: The
God-Brain |
Reasoning by Sal
The Dalai Lama has said, "Permanent happiness
can only be achieved through training of the mind." Can we train
our brains to be at peace? Usually, one side of the brain tends to
dominate the other and direct our thinking. Learn how to tap into the
"God-part" of your brain and consciously foster "the
peace that passes all understanding."
Nancy
Plantinga will be our guest musician.
 | Sunday,
February 19 at 10:30 am: Asking
and Receiving |
Reasoning
by Sherry
Asking
wise questions will lead to receiving wise answers. "Be patient
toward all that is unresolved in your life and try to love the questions
themselves," said Rainer Marie Rilke. "A prudent question is
one half of wisdom," wrote Francis Bacon. We are expressions of
divine Mind. Knowing that there is an Intelligence within us that does
have all our answers will guide us into truth and liberty (from Science
of Mind). Music by Jim
Cooper
 | Sunday,
February 26 at 10:30 am: The
Road Less Traveled |
Reasoning
by Sherry
In
the classic poem, The Road Not Taken, Robert Frost
describes coming to a fork in the road and needing to choose between the
two paths. Everyone's paths are different, each of us come to many
"fork in the road" experiences. Organized religion often fails
to honor and support that wisdom. In this Reasoning we will be looking
at the journey of the soul from the model of the road less taken.

Tuesday,
February 7 at 7pm: Holistic Health Class |
Our monthly "The Role of the Body in the Evolution of
Consciousness" series continues with Allegra
Miller. This month's topic: Awakening
to One's deepest nature inevitably triggers a cascade of physical and
emotional effects that are often misinterpreted by most medical models.
In this talk, Allegra will discuss how to utilize bodywork as a means of
facilitating a cellular shift in frequency. Multiple elements of this
shift will be addressed and there will be an opportunity for questions
and answers. The class is free, but a love offering is welcome.
 | Friday,
February 10 at 6:30 pm: Movies
& Munchies! |
First up, we
will be showing the
Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary
DVD
.
The Mid West's largest sheltered no-kill sanctuary, was founded by the
Azzar family in August of 1999 after the passing of their beloved dog
Mackenzie. Last month, a group of children and adults visited the
sanctuary in
Lake
Odessa
and was given a tour of the facility and met three of the shelter dogs.
The Spirit Space children had made up cards for the doggies, staff and
volunteers.
At
7
pm
we will be showing "Because of
Winn-Dixie," Rated PG. An
inseparable bond develops between a lonely 10-year-old girl and an
orphaned dog, Winn-Dixie (named for the supermarket where she found
him), who helps her make friends in a small
Florida
town.
